Tropical Storm Isidore has
now departed our shore leaving huge puddles behind, mostly
in our front yard! There was no damage from the Storm
and everyone on the Island enjoyed the long weekend off.
Well, mostly everybody...Schools were closed, as well as
most shops and services. The bars were packed!!
These pictures were taken yesterday at the height of the
storms passing, the wind was 45mph. The waves you see
above have now subsided and everything is already going back
to normal. If you are coming down this weekend pack a
lot of suntan lotion!!

These
are this afternoon's Pictures. September 20th, 2002
The seas are calming down
today and people are taking advantage of the few waves we
receive during the year. There are a few squalls still
coming by making it rain for the usual 5 minutes. Our
"Office" on the beach survived untouched and we renamed our
front yard "North Sound 2". If we could just find some
Stingrays.....
We are hoping to show you
sunshine pictures tomorrow from our boat!!

OK, so we
lost all credibility with our weather predictions...And at
the office they want me to create a new page and write "I
will not predict the weather ever again" 10,000 times.
But I have to admit, the Stingray City Sandbar was
absolutely beautiful today. The huge waves over the
Sandbar earlier in the week combed the sand in perfect mini
dunes, it looked as if it had been perfectly raked by the
Department of Tourism.

Isidore is
well out of our way but the winds still persist.
George Town is back to normal and Cruise Ships should be
able to dock in our harbor shortly. The best part is
that the sun is peeking in on the beach and people are
making their way to the rays....
This
afternoon the waves picked up again on 7 Mile and the
surfers are happy!!
